Giant Ledges Backpacking Trip

Trek for three days with the highlight being camping right on the ledges with an awe-inspiring view of the Catskills.  Young Scouts will stay at Base Camp and hike the Escarpment Trail to boulder at Sunrise Rock and swim at North Lake.

Oct 21-22

Monty Python and the Holy Grail Adventure

Camp and compete as patrols at Teetertown Ravine.  Solve the mystery of the Grail and become a knight – well, a silly knight – in this great adventure.

Nov 3-5

West Point Trip

See college football at its best:  Army vs. Air Force.  Tour the academy, eat in the cadet mess hall, meet cadets.    Lodge in cabins at nearby camp Addison-Bryce.

Dec 9

First Aid Rally

Compete as a Patrol in this annual District Triage.

Dec 16

New Jersey Rock Gym

Climb and boulder at New Jersey’s finest.

Jack Frost Ski Trip

Return to the troop’s favorite resort.  Ski or board with lessons available in the Pocono Mountains.

Catskill Winter Trip

Lodge in cabins at Forestburgh.  Hike to Darlington Falls.  Ice fish and skate; toboggan down Suicide Hill!

Klondike Trail

Compete in our District Derby pulling your sled in competition against 50 patrols and winter.

Mountain Creek Ski Trip

Ski or board in this three-mountain wonderland.  Lessons available; troop families always welcome.

Mar 30 – Apr 1

Delaware Water Gap Campout

Camp two great nights and tour the Wolf Preserve or Orienteer at the A.M.C. Mohican Outdoor Center.  An option for a night:  visit a “Weird New Jersey Ghost Town”!

Apr 27-29

Sleeping Giant Campout and Hike

Rough it for two nights in a wilderness campsite.  Take a 5-mile hike, climb the Giant’s Knee, Chin, and Forehead to a castle tour with a great view.

May 19-20

Hudson Clearwater Sail Trip

Hoist the sales, learn to navigate, sing sea shanties, net river critters and learn about the Hudson River environment on this 5-hour sail.  Camp at Lake Tiarotti.

Harper’s Ferry Trip

Camp and tour Antietam National Battlefield, visit the Appalachian Trail Visitor’s Center, Harper’s Ferry National Park, visit the town and take a ghost tour.  Kayak the Class III Shenandoah including the Staircase!

Delaware River Tubing Trip

Drift down the river and swim to the Hotdog Man’s island for lunch.

Camp Bell  Summer Camp, New Hampshire

Choose from these great experiences:  the Waterfront, Challenge Valley, Brown Sea, Foxfire, Mountain Man, Logging Camp with a great Day Trip planned as well.

Block Island Bike Trip

This has been voted our troop’s favorite trip.  Ferry to this Rhode Island wonder.  Bike and explore the cliffs, swim at a pristine beach and camp in the remote Sandlands. 

Oct 20-21

Annual “Adventure” Campout

Our Scouts will decide on what great tour de force we will do in this annual event.

Nov 17-18

Washington D.C. Trip

Stay in a Youth Hostel and tour the Nation’s Capital and museums.

Dec 8

First Aid Rally.

Test your patrol’s teamwork and skills as you compete in this annual district triage.

Rockville Climbing Center

Climb, belay, and boulder at our troop’s favorite rock gym.

Washington Valley - Mountain Biking

Bike the foothills of Bridgewater on challenging and fun single-track mazes with lots of jumps.  This will be a morning day trip to gain experience for next year’s ride.

Feb 3-4

Catskill Winter Snowshoe Trek

Backpack and snowshoe past the frozen Darlington Falls and Tecumseh Rock to the Jim King Outpost.  There we will build snow shelters and survive the night!  Toboggan Suicide Hill on Sunday.

Feb 9-11

Vermont Ski Weekend

Spend two nights in a private/cozy mountain lodge. Ski or Board at Killington, one of New England’s premier winter resorts.

Pottery Course

While attending the Delaware Water Gap Troop Campout, take a side diversion at the renowned Peters Valley Craft School. Take a hands-on course in the fine art of ceramics.

Sages Ravine Backpack Trek

Trek the Appalachian Trail in Connecticut. Climb the Lions Head and Bear Mountain with 360 degree views with an old tower. Camp at Sages Ravine the second night with multiple waterfalls and swimming holes. Meet the Troop at the Maritime Aquarium of Norwalk on Sunday for an interesting tour.

May 6

NYC Bike Tour

Bike the 5 boroughs on this great 50-mile tour of the city!  All roads closed to traffic just for you and 30,000 other bikers.

May 19-20

Blue Mountain Nirvana - Mountain Biking

On the Troops Clearwater Trip, trek this Reservation’s mountain terrain on single track/dirt roads. Ride the Stinger/Chewbacca/Sitting Duck/Yin and Yang and the climb up Spitzenburg Mtn.  Grinding to the top will be rewarded by the exhilarating decent! Shoot rifle/shotgun and archery at the Sportsman Shooting Range.

Jul 7-14

Kentucky High Adventure

Cave the wilds of Mammoth Cave National Park. Class 3 kayak the Cumberland River, starting under the Falls. Horseback the Arches Wilderness Trail. Backpack the Red River Gorges - Clifty Wilderness, which has been described as Utah with trees. Explore the many arches and swim the many creek holes. Climb the challenging Via Ferrata,the iron way, on sheer cliffs at Torrent Falls.  On the way home raft the jaw dropping, heart pounding class 5 New River in West Virginia through Surprise, Greyhound , Nosebleed and many more.

Jul 21-29

Utah Canyonlands Expedition

Fly out to the adventure capitol of the USA – Moab, Utah. Start with two days of guided Canyoneering, which will include hiking, bouldering, climbing and rappelling.  Over 10 rappels with drops of 100 feet! Camp the Arches National Park.  Spend the next three days rafting the Colorado River with runs through class 4 rapids on inflatable kayaks, explore slot canyons for dry diversions.  Then finish off the week by mountain biking the Trail of the Ancients for three days. Route begins at 8,000 feet in a sub-alpine setting and will include a technical ridge traverse of the Abjo Mountains. This will end with a very dramatic descent into the Canyonlands desert. We will also explore secluded canyons and search for ancient rock art and cliff dwellings.

Aug 5-11

Spokes High Adventure

At Hidden Valley, try this new program of mountain biking, rock climbing and sea kayaking outside of the Reservation.
