In addition to the outstanding outdoor program for the Troop at large, Troop 84 has an exceptional High Adventure Venture program.
Older scouts can participate in variety of challenging and exciting activities.
The program below lists the additional trips available to Troop 84 Scouts 14 and older.

Jan 21-22 |
Catskills Snow Trek |
Snowshoe deep into the Catskills Wilderness and spend the night in a snow shelter you built. |
Feb 11-13 |
Vermont Ski Weekend |
Spend two nights in a local hotel. Ski/Board for the two days at Killington – one of North East’s premier winter resort destinations! |
Mar 23-25 |
Backpacking Trek Highpoint |
Three day backpacking adventure trek. Follow the AT along a ridge line to the highest point in NJ with a three state view. |
Apr 27-29 |
Ricketts Glenn |
Join the Troop on this campout to one of the top state parks in PA and hike this national natural landmark with 22 named waterfalls. Venture Crew will trek out on their own to the most challenging terrain. |

Philmont Crew Day Hike Mtn Reserve |
A Philmont Crew training run with full backpack and 8 miles of challenging hills and boulders in the Sourlands Mountain Park. |
May 4 - 6 |
Watchu Weekend |
Philmont Crew will participate in the council’s backpack shakedown trek at Allamuchy Scout Reservation. |

Philmont Crew Day Hike Rec Area |
A second Philmont Crew training run with full backpack and 10 miles of cross country and steep climbs at the Round Valley Recreation Area. |
June 30 to |
Philmont |
Fly to Colorado and visit the sites to get acclimated to the elevation before starting the 11 day trek through the mountains of the Philmont Scout Ranch in Northern NM. Unbelievable scenery and high adventure activities at each day’s destination! |
July/Aug |
Bike, Kayak & Raft the Erie Canal |
A three day bike trek on the Erie Canal camping along the way. With white water rafting the Class III Genesee River Gorge and white water kayaking on a manmade Kayaking Race Course. |
Aug 1-7 |
Hidden Valley/Camp Bell Spoke Program |
While the rest of the Troop is in scout camp, experience high adventure activities like Rock Climbing, Kayaking and one night backpacking trips. Spend some nights in Camp and some nights in the backcountry. |

Catskill Backpack Trek |
Trek for 3 days over Panther Mountain, and camp on top of the Ledges with 360 degree - awe-inspiring views! |

Terror Behind the Walls |
A Halloween Fright Fest like no other - locked in the Eastern States Penitentiary. This is rated the best haunted house in the entire USA! |

Mountain Bike Day Trip |
